The Rise and Fall of Linguistic Transfer; This is an extended version of my LSA paper Some remarks on the history of transfer in language studies. It covers the history of the notion of “transfer” in psychology (up to 1948), language learning (1948-1960s), and language acquisition studies (from 1960s on). See the paper here.
The folk fight back: a linguistic perspective on recent Benacerraf-related arguments; a much extended version of the poster from LPMST Taiwan 2024. The paper was actually written more than a year before the poster. It deals in detail with the problematic thesis advanced in a 2021 paper in Philosophia Mathematica that folk notion of number can help us solve Benacerraf’s identification problem. See the paper here.
Logic must fail where informal language succeeds: remarks on set theory in generative linguistics; after going back and forth with this remark for three and something years, I just post it here. It deals with the problematic use of set theory in generative linguistics. See the paper here.
